UPDATE ON UGANDA, AFRICA MISSION TRIP

We continue to plan and prepare for our mission journey to be in and participate in the Uganda, Africa COGOP National Convention.*  Our flight is scheduled to leave Nashville on January 18th and to return on January 30th.  The convention there is 22nd-26th.  I am scheduled to speak twice and Karen and Sarah will serve as needed.

Karen and Sarah continues to make some craft items (scarves, hats) for sale (10-12 dollars each).  Karen will take a few more orders for scarves and baked items.  We hope to have a bake sale somewhere on a Saturday before we leave.  We will announce it should it materialize.

We have now taken all shot vaccinations, oral vaccinations and received medication for malaria to take.  All our visas, flight reservations and time of arrival to meet Overseer Netezimana James are finalized.  We continue to get items ready to pack for the journey.  THIS IS A NEED IN UGANDA.  IF ANYONE HAS A USED LAPTOB NOT IN USE THAT IS IS FAIR TO GOOD SHAPE AND WOULD DONATE IT, WE WILL DELIVER IT.

We have now received a total of $1993.12 in offerings and donations and raised $718.00 in craft and bake sales.  The first $1000.00 will go to Uganda as a offering for their ministry there.  We are thankful for all offerings and donations.  A SPECIAL THANK YOU to the folks in TN COGOP Presbytery Bishop Gary Riley's area (my home and ministry area) who gave $371.12 in offering this past Sunday evening.  If anyone desires to give and be a part of this ministry send it to Church of God of Prophecy, 807 Powers Blvd. Waverly, TN 37185 or Milton and Karen Gordon 1117 Jason Circle, Ashland City, TN 37015.  Earmark your donation as offering for Uganda or for our trip expense.  For income tax purposes make your donation to the Church of God of Prophecy.

Most of all, your prayer support and covering is needed.

You can read more detail about the trip in my first post here and subsequent posts.
