21 Days Of Prayer And Fasting

A time of intensive focus on seeking God will be started by many Christians throughout the world. Waverly CGP will be joining many in our organization who will participate. Our International Office and General Overseer, Bishop R. A. Howard, encourages this time of seeking the Lord. There are some helpful materials on our church Webb site.  Click >> COGOP 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer

Also our Tennessee Presiding Bishop has some helpful information on his site.

New Year

The new year will be here in four days from today (12/27/10). What we have done in the past is history. We cannot recall it, redo it or remake it. We can go forward and live each day with victory in our heearts and live by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

May we seek to have "much of heaven in 2011." In looking at many of the gospel songs that are written and sung, we find many with words that speak of heaven. "No Tears in Heaven," "When We All Get To Heaven," are two of those songs. Jesus spoke of heaven. Paul wrote about heaven. The Bible tells us about heaven. The Crabbs sing the song "Don't You Want To Go," about going to heaven. Loretta Lynn sang the song "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven, But Nobody Wants To Die." No doubt, there is pain and suffering in our mortal bodies but the child of God need not fear or dread death. Jesus has conquered death, hell and the grave. The child of God will not suffer the true pang of death. Jesus has delivered His own from the sting of death - sin. We will pass from this life to be with Him in pardise - heaven. Where-ever He is is heaven. YES, I WANNA GO!!!!!!!! DO YOU!!!!! THEN TURN TO HIM IF YOU HAVEN'T AND TRUST HIM!!!
